Dr Panjasaram (Vassie) Naidoo

Dr Panjasaram (Vassie) Naidoo is a senior lecturer at the University of Kwa Zulu Natal (UKZN). She serves on the Human and Social Science Research Ethics Committee of UKZN, the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC), the Scheduling and Naming Committee of the Medicines Control Council ( MCC) of SA and is the current chairman of the CPD Committee of SAPC. She is a Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa, a member of the SA HIV Clinicians Society, the International AIDS Society and the International Federation of Pharmacists (FIP). Dr Naidoo has represented the pharmacy profession in giving input to the SA Parliament, National and Provincial Departments of Health and the local health structures of KZN including many Medical Aid Societies/Administrators. Her Main Research interests: HIV/AIDS (Schistosomiasis, Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Pharmacovigilance) and National Health Insurance (NHI). She supervises Masters and PhD students in these areas and has publications in many SAPSE /ISI rated journals.
