Mrs Beatrice Takavarasha Gwata

Beatrice’s pharmacy career spans nearly two decades. Graduating from Rhodes University (Grahamstown) in 1998, Beatrice worked as a community pharmacist for seven years. After brief stints in wholesale and hospital pharmacy, Beatrice finally settled in the Ministry of Health and Child Care at the Pharmacy Technicians Training School as a lecturer in 2006. Beatrice’s main areas of research interest is in Pharmacy Administration and Practice. In addition to lecturing, mentoring and supervising trainee pharmacy technicians, Beatrice has been the course co-ordinator since 2008 and is determined to continue producing pharmacy technicians with the appropriate skills for all sectors of pharmacy.

Away from work, Beatrice shares her life with her husband and their two teenagers. She enjoys singing, travelling and studying social sciences. She is about to complete a Masters in Public Management.
