Prof Manoranjenni Chetty

Manoranjenni Chetty obtained a BPharm degree in the former University of Durban Westville (UDW) in 1980 and registered as a pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council in 1981. Her subsequent qualifications include an MSc (Pharmacology) from Rhodes University, a PhD from the former UDW and a Med (Higher Education) from the University of Sydney. She registered as a specialist clinical pharmacokineticist in 1993.

Her pharmacy career began with hospital pharmacy followed by service as a lecturer/senior lecturer at University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) and University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), and as a Manager at Noristan Pharmaceuticals. She joined Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) as Professor and Head of School of Pharmacy. Following six years on the academic staff of the University of Sydney, Mano joined Simcyp Ltd (Sheffield-based company) as Principal Scientist (current employment). She holds appointments as Honorary Associate Professor at UKZN and Honorary appointment as Visiting Professor at University of Technology (2011-2015).

Prof Chetty wishes to contribute to the improvement of pharmaceutical sciences locally and globally through learning, teaching, discovery and innovation. ;
