Lalitha Raman Wilms

  Prof Lalitha Raman-Wilms

Lalitha Raman-Wilms is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean, Education, at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto, Canada. Her responsibilities at the Faculty include educational oversight for all programs, development and implementation of a new PharmD curriculum, and course development and teaching in Geriatric Pharmacotherapy. Dr. Raman-Wilms’ research interests are in geriatrics, curriculum development and interprofessional education.

Her recent research contributions include the development, implementation and evaluation of deprescribing guidelines for the elderly, pharmacists’ role in immunization, and chronic pain management by rural/urban community pharmacists. She also has many years of experience providing patient care in a variety of settings. Dr. Raman-Wilms is Editor-in-Chief of a consumer information book on medications called Canadian Pharmacist’s Association’s Guide to Drugs in Canada.She is the Past President of the Association of Faculties of Pharmacy of Canada (AFPC) and a Fellow of the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists.
